A Journey of Faith and Fellowship: 730 Weekend 2023

The Salvation Army's 730 Future Officer Fellowship Weekend 2023, themed "The Journey," was a profound experience. This year we brought together over 100 delegates from across the Southeast to the Evangeline Booth College in Atlanta, Georgia. Held from September 8th to 10th, the event was a testament to our shared commitment to serving God and our communities. It was a transformative weekend marked by deep connections, spiritual growth, and preparation for future ministry.

The first day of the event began with registration, welcoming our delegates with warmth and anticipation. The afternoon took an exciting turn as the cadets made their way into the community. Armed with an Emergency Disaster Service truck, they served the community through food distribution, fellowship, and prayer.

Delegates ended the day with a prayer walk through Atlanta. Throughout the walk, they reflected on their calling and the impact they wished to make in their own communities.

Enlightening panels, Q&A sessions, and lectures filled Saturday. The day equipped our future leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective ministry. Afterward, each division split up into prayer groups, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. Capping off the day was cadet-led worship, a truly moving experience showcasing our future officers' passion and dedication.

The event's final day began with a time of fellowship. Delegates enjoyed sharing their experiences and connecting on a deeper level. Chapel, led by Commissioner Donna Igleheart, was a highlight of the day, her words resonating with each individual present.

At the final alter call, the cadets gave anything holding them back from their calling to the Lord. It was a beautiful expression of their personal calling and commitment to service.

The 730 Future Officer Fellowship Weekend 2023 was a special event that helped cadets grow personally through faith and fellowship. It gave an inside look at being an officer at The Salvation Army and provided a platform for our future leaders to connect, learn, and grow.

As we reflect on the amazing things we've seen, we feel grateful for God's blessings and the potential in each delegate. We kindly ask you to join us in prayer as we support these future officers on their ongoing journey.
